That's how we started and we still believe "The 100% Option" is an important choice.
If you're new to our work or aren't sure how we spend, select "100% to Dig Wells" and give with confidence knowing your donation will go directly toward in-the-field water project construction expenses.
Your 100% Option gift will help with construction expenses like fuel, transportation, well pumps, concrete, casings, local labor and supervision, etc.
Other donors will help complete the project by paying for reporting and accountability, U.S. project management, legal and accounting fees, and other operational expenses - usually less than 15% of the project's total cost.
When you choose to "Help Where Most Needed", the vast majority of your donation will still help construct projects. But, you'll also help us pay for the operational expenses necessary to complete every project...a huge help.
Many of our supporters have expressed a desire to help us grow...to give more water. Giving where most needed also allows us the opportunity to multiply your donation's effectiveness many times over.
How? Last year, more than 90% of our expenses were spent on program related activities, like building wells. But it was the remaining 10% that helped our organization nearly double in size (revenue) in 2010 to fund over 200 projects! You can help us do even more this year too.
