Construction is well under way at the Bumangale School. The borehole has been completed and is awaiting pump installation. The drilling team is continuing to experience delays in acquiring hand pumps, but we remain hopeful that situation will be resolved quickly.

Construction is about to begin has begun and the borehole has been cased on the Busyubi Primary School and Community Well in Western Kenya. This community is located about 45km from Kakamega in the SW Bunymore location.
Lat. 0.01440 N – Long. 34.55016 E
The school has over 600 students who, along with the additional 300 nearby community members, will soon be enjoying clean and safe drinking water.

The drill crew has encountered hard rock formations which their drill cannot penetrate. We are awaiting access to a compressor to break through. We hope that arrives by Jan. 11th.

Precious Academy Well

Our crew has just sent in some photos from the Precious Academy in Western Kenya.
For this project our crew was sent in to replace a well that had not been drilled properly by another driller. The old well had collapsed internally. The school and local community were in desperate need of a clean, safe and reliable water source.
The good news on this project is that the well pump from the faulty borehole could be salvaged and is in good working order. The last step before this project will be complete is moving that pump onto the new borehole casing seen in the pictures below.
We’re awaiting a full report including more photos, GPS coordinates and the total number of people it will benefit. We hope to update this post soon with that new information.
Mutsembi Primary School Well

Drilling is underway on the Mutsembi Primary School Well in Western Kenya. We’ve received a few pictures and are awaiting GPS coordinates and a community profile.
This well will be serving over 1,000 people.
