Sit back down. Maybe even take the miracle of clean water whenever you want for granted. Then there's the 6 year old Ugandan girl. Today she'll trek for miles beneath a scorching sun, with a large canteen strapped to her back. She missed school today, along with the 20 girls beside her, and she probably won't be attending for a while, but right now that's the least of her worries. They're walking toward a water source, a dirty one, but the only one around. Then comes the return, just as long. The water they bring back must suffice for an entire village, 60% of which have become sick with water-borne illnesses. They know the water's unsafe. But this is all they have.
