Hi everyone! I am trying to raise money for a well to be built in an impoverished village in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India, through the organization Wells for Life. Wells for Life is a program that brings clean water to rural villages in India. About 84% of the people in India live without clean water and are born with birth defects and live with diseases and illnesses that are eaily preventable. I am also raising money to go to India and work in an orphanage and leper colony, giving these poor people love, attention, and respect. Lastly, I want to raise enough money to buy a herd of goats so that the people in this village will use them for nutritional purposes and be able to have milk, cheese, and meat.
For each person that donates we will add your name to a wall of the orphanage we will be working at. The children living there will see your name everyday and will be grateful for the changes you personally have made in their life.
I really hope you will donate. Our project will change these poeple's life, giving them a chance at success. With your help, we can accomplish this.
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
