Everyday, I am confronted with the immense gap that exists between the financially well off, and the most impoverished. I feel that we are so used to finding pleasure in purchases, that we have become desensitized to the real value in a dollar.

Water is such a vital component to life on Earth. We need it to live, to sustain our health. In the United States, we are not constantly confronted with the issue of water scarcity. There are people in this world who go thirsty, who cannot afford to wash their hands. There are people literally dying for water in this world, while so much goes wasted in our nation. I think it is important to strive to conserve water in our own homes and communities, as well as to make water more assessable to those thirst.

Audrey Hepburn once said, 'As you grow older you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself, and one for helping others.' Helping others, and improving the conditions on this Earth, is something I feel gives my life purpose.

Building a well in a community will help a lot of people, for a very long time. A little money can go a long way, and immense good will be done in the world. Lets help those who desperately need compassion, and create the world we all desire.
