Help Fund a Water Project
Over one billion people don't have access to clean water. After hearing this I was hooked. I realized that something I take for granted everyday could mean the world to so many others. Traditionally wells are hand dug, costing many lives. The structure of the wells allows them to remain open to the outside air, allowing for easy contamination. I realized that to create a new well in Kenya would cost around $6,000. Simply stated, a new well would be dug by a donor's rig, then completely sealed off, with a pump connecting to the inside water. My goal is to have 6,000 people participate to raise $6,000. I believe that more people should be made aware of the water issues taking place in some regions of countries such as Kenya, India, Haiti and Sierra Leone, just to name a few. I hope that through this project word will spread and we will all learn a little bit more about what's going on and how we can help. I ask you to tell at least one other person about this project and to consider donating $1, which will aid in the purchase of supplies necessary for the community to build a well. I feel that too many issues are passed over without adequate attention given to them. Please tell everyone you know about this, or at least someone in your general vacintity right now! Spread the word, spread the knowledge and we can all help out!

Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
