My goal is to fund a well project in the African country of Sudan. This project won't change the world but will massively benefit a whole community and offer them a standard of living that everyone should be entitled to and that we all take for granted. Your donations will empower women, boost local economy, help educate communities and most importantly SAVE HUNDREDS OF LIVES now and for many years to come.
The cost of a well project takes into account a whole host of factors pre and post build this project will cost around £2,750. Please refer to common questions on www.waterproject.org for full details. This is truely a minimal price to pay for the benefit this project will deliver!
I will be competing in sporting events and activities throughout the year as well as collecting donations online and around the local community. Please join me in making a real difference.
Kindest regards
James
ps, as you have noticed The Waterproject is an American based charity. For donation purposes £1 equates to around $1.64 (as of 01.06.2011 please check www.xe.com for upto date exchange rates)
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
