Help Fund a Water Project

Together, we can unlock potential in a developing community by providing clean, safe water.
Fundraiser

After reading countless articles about people all over the
world who have no access to clean water and have poor sanitation habits, Pison
Stream Solutions decided to step up and help in The Water Project’s campaign. The
Water Project is about helping people in developing countries get access to
clean water and to better educate them on healthy sanitation practices. They
dig wells, construct small sub-surface dams, catch the rain, protect
fresh-water springs, and filter surface water. Right now, over 750 million
people all over the world lack access to clean water which causes over 840,000
deaths each year. Women and children on average spend 140 million hours each
day collecting water. Some have to walk up to 6 hours to find a water source,
and even then the water is not fit for drinking or for proper sanitation. We
decided to take part in this campaign because we believe people should have
access to clean, safe drinking water. We want to see the death toll drop and
see communities grow.

  • Clean water means families will be able to grow
their own gardens to feed their families.
  •  Clean
water means women can get jobs and provide for their families.
  • Clean water means children can go to school and
get an education instead of spending all their time searching for water.
  •  Clean
water means better sanitation and the reduction of common water related
diseases such as diarrhea, Cholera, Malaria, and Typhoid. Giving these
communities clean water gives them a better life and a chance to grow and
    become successful.
  • There are many ways you can help in this fundraiser:

    1. Donate whatever money you can to our fundraiser.
Big or small, it all goes towards a great cause.
    2. Join in our campaign and help us meet our goal
so we can help these communities get access to clean water and educated on
      better sanitation practices.
    3. Start your own campaign. Whether it’s by
yourself or with your company, every effort is going to help someone in need.
    4. Help us promote our campaign. Share this on your
personal social media sites or business sites to promote this charity and all
      they have done.
    5. Take their water challenge. Drink nothing but
water for 14 days and watch the savings add up. Then, donate what you saved to
The Water Project. You will not only feel healthier, but you’ll also feel good
about doing something for someone else.

At the end of the day, remember you have access to water for
a multitude of things. These communities use all their time just to find what
we take for granted. Your donation or efforts can go a long way in helping
others. If you give a man a drink of water, he drinks for a day. If you give a
man a source for water, he drinks for life.

    Why It Matters

Access to clean, safe water unlocks potential

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?

Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!

Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.

    About The Water Project

The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.

Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.

Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
