Help Fund a Water Project
Almost 1 billion people do not have clean water to drink.
A child dies every 15 seconds from lack of clean water.
At any one time, half of the world's hospital beds are filled with patients ailing from a water-borne disease.
All over the world people are suffering from lack of clean water. About 90% of sewage and 70% of industrial waste is expelled into water in developing countries, polluting the usuable water supplies. Faced with no other options, people in developing countries use this deadly water in their daily lives. As a result, many become sick and cannot work or go to school. Babies die. Those with AIDS/HIV cannot be treated. Families remain in the cycle of poverty and cannot provide for their families. Their situation seems hopeless and inescapable.
The Water Project provides relief. This organization changes the daily lives of those in need by providing clean water through digging new wells, repairing damaged wells, building weirs, or sand dams, to store intense tropical rainfall, building systems to harvest rain, and educating communities about sanitation and hygiene. When these outlets are set in place, entire communities begin to evolve, improving in health and lifestyle. All because some people dug deep inside themselves and decided to reach out.
The work that is being done in Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Sudan, and Uganda is life changing for those recieving it and those making it possible.

Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
