It's easy to say, "I want to help," but it takes a lot more effort and action to make a difference. As a teacher I've always had a passion to advocate for children; but what can I do for those less fortunate overseas? There are many opportunities to help out, and just recently my family sponsored a 10 year old girl from Mali, Africa. The feeling is rewarding but I thought, "did it have to stop there?"
I'm so proud to say that my school is helping fundraise pennies for clean water supply for depriving countries. Clean water changes lives. It allows girls to go to school, improves sanitation and health, stops the drought of thirst, and food supplies become more reliable.
This "Water Challenge" is specically aiding to schools, and communities across Africa. Any amount counts! Knowing your part of something bigger definietly brings me happiness. And when you make a donation, they will send a link to track the construction and results of the specific water project you helped build! Together we witness how our donations impacts lives. Im trying to reach $500.00.
Please help out and contribute to setting up wells in Africa!
Thanks
Marina Letham
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
