The Water Project

Robyn Clark Bostrom 2012 Water Project

Total Raised: $370.00

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have clean water to drink?

I'm helping raise funds to provide clean, safe drinking water to people who suffer needlessly without it in the developing world, and could really use your help!

Our donations will be used to construct a specific water project. We'll get pictures, GPS coordinates, and reports from the field, as they happen. We'll see the actual results of what we've done.

In their own words...

Hello Family and Friends,

For my 46th year of life, I am fundraising to help build a much needed water well in Africa so that children and their families can have clean water to drink.

We all take our blessings, including clean water to drink, to cook with and bath with daily, for granted.  I cannot imagine not having easy access to clean water yet millions of people around the world do not have this basic necessity.

It costs at least  $4,600 to build one water well.  As 2012 represents my 46th year on this planet, I have chosen a goal of $460-- or 10% of the cost of a water well.

Once the goal is reached, The Water Project will utilize these vital funds towards a water well project--and, the best part is,  you will get a link so  you can watch the well building project progress toward completion!

Please share what you can whenever you can throughout 2012!

Many thanks in advance for your support,

Robyn

P.S.: I am asking family and friends in lieu of birthday gifts or holiday gifts this year to contribute to my water project instead.  That way we can all give the gift that truly keeps on giving!

About The Water Project

The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that's bringing relief to communities around the world who suffer needlessly from a lack of access to clean water.

We tell stories. The story of water, the story of change, and the story of hope. These stories inspire people to raise the money needed to build wells and other water projects at schools, medical centers, churches and other public places in under-developed nations.

With monies raised, our partners in the field can do the digging and construction needed to provide clean, safe water efficiently and sustainably. They also mobilize, train, and follow-up with local communities, helping ensure long-term success.

We work closely with our partners around the world who identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. That's how we share the whole story with you and hopefully inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.

Why Give Water?

Nearly 1 billion people don't have access to clean, safe drinking water.

The Problem:

For too many...dirty, diseased water leads to a cycle of sickness, lack of education, poverty and lost hope. It is needless suffering.

The Solution:

Decide this has to change. Get involved. Help me fund a clean, safe water project.

What to Do:

Donate and help fund a well with me. Once the goal is met we'll all receive a tracking link so we can actually see the specific project we helped
fund. Together we'll witness the impact our donations make.
