Child friendly schools project improves the learning
environment in one school by integrating quality education and WASH: Water, Sanitation
and Hygiene programs.
Toilets for 1 rural schools comprising of
1300 girls & 978 boys to prevent drop-outs specially among girls, to reduce
incipience of diseases and to provide good learning environment.
Poor toilet facilities or absence of
toilets in schools have an impact on the education and health of the children.
Children defecating in open are prone to infectious diseases such as diarrhea,
intestinal worms thus leading to absenteeism which affects their studies.
Further, adolescent girls stop attending schools due to absence of toilets.
Project involves renovating the poor toilet infrastructure which lacks doors
& other basic amenities so that the children start making use of the
toilets

Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
