Help Fund a Water Project
Each day, many of us turn on the tap and out pours a glass of pure water for our drinking pleasure. We often don't think about what a luxury this is! As it turns out, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) estimates that there is an astonishing 1.1 billion people without clean drinking water!
The ingestion of the dirty water in many parts of the world often contains disease causing agents responsible for diseases such as:
Clean water is critical to helping eradicate such diseases.
In addition clean water will help the impoverished return to work. It's a known fact that people who are severely ill can't sustain themselves or their families. Clean water is key in preventing disease and allowing people to return to work.
Clean drinking water will be provided to educational facilities and promote learning. Where once, children would have to travel many miles each day on foot just to provide their families with soiled water, they will instead have the chance to spend their time receiving a valuable education.
Clean drinking water will lead to production of healthy, life-sustaining crops. If water is not available, then neither is food. Dehydration and hunger go hand in hand. The provision of clean water will provide many the chance to grow crops that will help entire communities.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
The Water Project is an organization that was founded to help put an end to the unsanitary conditions of drinking water across various parts of the globe. You can help by making a donation to this organization through my personal fundraising page.
I receive nothing but the personal satisfaction of seeing my project fulfill its purpose! My interest in Africa and personal call to the cause of helping those without sanitary drinking water is why I created this page. I would like to see every bit of proceeds to go towards my cause. If we can make this happen, we will receive GPS coordinates and see pictures of the actual well and the people it impacts!

Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
