Help Fund a Water Project
Sadaqatul jariyah is ongoing charity (continuous rewards) received by us (for good actions and deeds), that will not only benefit us in this life, but will continue to benefit us after our death. Abu Huraira (RadhiAllahu ‘anhu) reported: Allah’s Messenger ﷺ as saying: When a man dies, his acts come to an end, but three, recurring charity or knowledge (by which people) benefit, or a pious son, who prays for him (for the deceased). [Sahih Muslim – Book 13 – Hadith 4005] My Ana Jan, Bibi Haji Marhaba Qaderi was truly like an angel living amongst us. She was blessed enough to pass away during the holy month of Ramadan on Sunday, June 28th, 2015. Ana Jan was loved by all, near and far and was considered a grandmother to so many far beyond her scope of knowledge. Throughout her entire life, she radiated with light (noor) and touched the lives of anyone who encountered her priceless smile and compassionate heart. My Ana Jan was fortunate enough to have all her children, her grandchildren, and her GREAT-grandchildren surrounding her reading their kalimahs as she left this world in preparation for the next, SubhanAllah. May we all strive for this type of departure, inshAllah. May my Ana Jan be granted jannatul ferdous and may she look down on us from the highest gates of paradise. In honor of my late and beloved Ana Jan, Bibi Haji Marhaba Qaderi... I have set up this fundraising page as a form of a sadaqatul jariyah. As we come together in memory of Ana Jan, we can sponsor an entire water project. When people use this well/tank and drink from it, Ana Jan will receive hasanat. This is how my Ana Jan would have loved to be remembered... by reaching out her helping hand and extending her generosity. Please consider paying it forward... there is truly no one more deserving. With the outpouring amount of support and love shown to my family on behalf of Ana Jan the past few days, I know this won't be a difficult feat to accomplish.

Why It Matters
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.

Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
