I am wanting to do this project because it is something that was placed on my heart. The rest of the world has to find water, often collecting it from deep wells miles from their homes and carrying it back home. For them, water is very valuable; it is something they don’t take for granted. We as Americans take things for granted every day. How many of us don’t like water? Be honest? Exactly... we would rather be thirsty most of the time than drink water and people without water die because they have nothing. Water is an exceedingly valuable and necessary part of life that is constantly thought about for those that have none.
I really have been looking into water projects because it’s something that has just drawn my attention. I keep thinking to myself I am just a teenage, how can I do this? How can I make a difference? We all think that at some point whether we admit it or not. I know I can do this because in the bible it says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Philippians 4:8. We can all do this, we can all change the world with something so simple. Just think about it, how would this impact you if you needed it? It is not only in other countries, but here, even in the United States. Clean water can prevent disease, promote healthiness, improve conditions of living and change lives.
Did you know?
We CAN change that though. Just think about it.
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
