The Water Project

Summit Ridge's Fundraising Page

Total Raised: $575.00

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have clean water to drink?

I'm helping raise funds to provide clean, safe drinking water to people who suffer needlessly without it in the developing world, and could really use your help!

Our donations will be used to construct a specific water project. We'll get pictures, GPS coordinates, and reports from the field, as they happen. We'll see the actual results of what we've done.

In their own words...

Today, millions of people around the globe will walk for water ... walking 3-5 miles to reach a water source that is often dirty.  884 million people do not have access to a clean reliable water source.  The impact? Around the world every day, it is estimated that 5,000 children under the age of 5 years old die from illnesses caused by unclean water.

Through this sight any donations will be used to construct a specific water project in Rwanda Africa. In addition to this web site, on April 28th, we will have our own "walk for water" where we will carry water buckets; so we can feel the weight of what so many do in other parts of the world each day.  We'll do it to understand, to learn, to make a difference!

About The Water Project

Global Benefit is a non-profit organization that works to reverse the ravaging effects of extreme poverty.  We work to bring the most practical and effective projects together to allow communities to thrive.   We know clean water is the first and most basic requirement to help a community to get on its feet and take the next steps to gain health and self-sufficiency.  But this is not our only focus.  We also value education, employment opportunities, health care, disease prevention and a place for people to connect spiritually as these are all important issues to a sustainable healthy community.

Why Give Water?

Nearly 1 billion people don't have access to clean, safe drinking water.

The Problem:

For too many...dirty, diseased water leads to a cycle of sickness, lack of education, poverty and lost hope. It is needless suffering.

The Solution:

Decide this has to change. Get involved. Help me fund a clean, safe water project.

What to Do:

Donate and help fund a well with me. Once the goal is met we'll all receive a tracking link so we can actually see the specific project we helped fund. Together we'll witness the impact our donations make.

How We Work

In partnership with The Water Project, Global Benefit funds long lasting water projects in Sierra Leone that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.

Clean, safe water changes everything!
