As a missionary in the Mt. Horeb Missionary Church, I have been given the task of deciding on a project that our Mission II Group women could do to help the needy, sick or shut-in. As a disciple we are sent but as a missionary we Go. I will like to take our funds to those who are without fresh water to drink, fresh water to cook or even clean water to wash their clothes I will like to give them an opportunity to have that basic need that many of us take for granted. While watching Christian Televeison I saw where they showed pictures of babies dieing because of not dehydration but from drinking dirty, infested water that was filled with feces and filth, from the animals and locals who bathe there. While the mother was cleaning a cow intestine in the water, the young child and other children and adults were drinking or gathering water for consumption in the same area. The water was filled with bugs and other filthy matter. Can you imagine having to drink this knowing that one day you are going to die from it or your children will. It is a sad thing to see or to know it even happens.
Well here is an opportunity for you to help. I am asking you to please sow a small seed of $3.00 or more to help make a difference in the lives of others. Your small seed you sow will be great reward for the life of another. Please do not feel pressure to do so-for God loves a cheerful giver.
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
