
{"id":1346,"date":"2009-11-17T09:58:24","date_gmt":"2009-11-17T14:58:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thewaterproject.org\/community\/?p=1346"},"modified":"2017-11-28T10:55:01","modified_gmt":"2017-11-28T15:55:01","slug":"well-in-india-bagavathi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thewaterproject.org\/community\/2009\/11\/17\/well-in-india-bagavathi\/","title":{"rendered":"Well in India &#8211; BAGAVATHI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This was the second of two wells funded by Burns High School FFA.\u00a0 The full name of the location is Kothamangalam Bagavathi Amman Street.\u00a0 This particular village has about 700 Dalit families and like the first had been without a safe and dependable water source.<\/p>\n<p>This village, not far from the first, suffered many of the same water problems.\u00a0 Prior to this well being installed they walked great distances for water. \u00a0 Even then, what they found was water designated for the fields and crop growing \u2013 unsuitable and unsafe to drink.<\/p>\n<p>Thankfully,with the help of the students at Burns HS FFA, these people are enjoying their very own protected water source.<br \/>\n<br style=\"clear: both;\" \/><br \/>\n<!--more Lots of Pictures Inside--><br \/>\nPictures from both projects:<br \/>\n[flickr-gallery mode=&#8221;photoset&#8221; photoset=&#8221;72157622690752293&#8243;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This, the second of two wells funded by Burns H.S.
