Location in Western Kenya, about 14km Kakamega.<\/p>\n<p>GPS \u2014 LAT:00.29431<sup>0<\/sup>N\u00a0 LONG: 34.67023<sup>0<\/sup>E<\/p>\n<p>The water project will serve\u00a0a total of 653 (corrected 8\/10) people in the surrounding area.\u00a0 A water committee consisting of 5 men and 4 women has been formed and the community has contributed about $300USD to acquire surveys and permits for the new well.<\/p>\n<p>The current water source is a passing stream about 5 km from the community.\u00a0 The water quality is poor.<\/p>\n<p>* # of beneficiaries updated after a house to house survey was
