Help Fund a Water Project
I read the book
A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier
and was taken aback by the horror faced by the protagonist, Ishmael Beah, who also penned this memoir. Beah, only in his early teens at the time, was thrown into Sierra Leone's civil war as soldier. It is because of Beah's striking testimony that I want to build a well in this particular country. Beah's primary struggle was not a lack of water; however, through his life in Sierra Leone I was inspired. In an ideal world, the well is only a starting point. It is my dream to eventually be able to fund the construction of a hospital.Why It Matters

Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
