Okay everyone,
This is not a lot of money to start with and I personally think we can do way better, but its a start. We all buy ourselves and each other B-Day gifts, anniversary gifts etc. Let's give up a few of those extras in our life and really think about this for a moment. When you turn your tap on, you get clean fresh drinking water, cold bottled water is never to far away either. However millions of people, moms, dads, husbands, wives, brothers, sisters, children and grandchildren don't have the access to this one simple but vitally important thing, Water! Lets put a dent in this problem and inspire others to do the same. Im not asking anyone to go broke or even be overly generous, im asking you guys to give up a few Starbucks runs, a new shirt you dont need, a dinner out, a B-day present or even if your a couple your anniversary gifts and help the poorest and most destitute in our world. Use your Visa card to help someone else, instead of getting yourself another extra which we all really don't need anyway! Im committing to giving up my B-Day and my Anniversary for this cause because I think it is so sad that millions of people spend their days and all of their little resources to access the tiniest amount of fresh water. Please join me, it doesnt take much, any amount that you can give will make a huge difference! Let's do this guys and girls! A new world where everyone has clean water is very possible!Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
