We have spent the majority of our lives ignoring the very real struggles that are happening on this earth. Sure, these struggles aren't affecting us personally. We don't have problems finding meals, we don't have an issue finding medical treatment, and we certainly do not have trouble finding clean water. Not only do we have access to bottled water, but we have running water in our homes that we know is going to be clean each time we turn on the faucet. Lately, we've been learning a lot about world poverty. There is so much poverty in the United States alone that most of us completely ignore. There is even more poverty in third world countries, especially in Africa. Many places in Africa do not have access to clean drinking water. In fact, over 800 million people struggle with this. People drink dirty water and contract diseases that are especially deadly because of the lack of medical care. People are robbed of hope because a lack of water means a lack of food, and a lack of strength, which just makes the cycle of poverty keep turning. We heard about the Water Project, and we were immediately inspired. It isn't going to be hard. We just have to raise $10,000 and several wells will be installed someplace in Africa where there is a need. We will hold fundraisers, we will ask for people to join our team. We will do whatever it takes to accomplish our goal, because it is about time we stop looking at the poor like another race. "Oh, well that's not happening to me" or "someone else will help them" is not okay. Sure, we're only teenagers. But with the help of others who share the same vision, this can really happen. We can bring clean water and we can bring hope and we can do something beyond ourselves. Christians are called to serve the poor, and that's something we have been neglecting. So let's break the cycle! Thank you so much for partnering with us!
Love,
Hope, Measu, & Caroline

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
