Patrice M - Farmer, discussing her newly donated water project in Burkina Faso

Our pump was broken down for two years... But today, God has come here in this village. We have received good friends who have come to our aid. Today, we have received a great joy here. We sincerely thank the repair team from Dano and their partners from the USA. I also thank God who is all powerful because it's because of Him that we have received this water. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

We have been getting our water from unprotected springs for most of the years! We also had to walk a long distance but this source is near, with clean water! Anyone in this community can get clean drinking water any time of the day.

In this community, we had no safe water source before. We had chronically
water borne diseases but we are happy now that all the peoples around this well will access clean water. I thank you very much.

The old source was swamp water, when we fetched the water we would wait for 5 minutes for the particles to settle down before we drink. We are drinking it because there is no other source to get water. The hand pump is more safe and clean to drink, and it will save the life of the people of Kambees.

"When it rains, the water turns brown, when it is a dry season the water dries up. Hoping this new water well will bring an end to that."

The water from old source had a lot of taste, had some particles because it was from an open and was not chlorinated. The new source is chlorinated and it’s free from germs. It has no taste and it is good to drink.

On behalf of the village, I would like to truly thank Living Water International and their partners, The Water Project, for coming to our aid in this project. I know the women, men, and children are very, very happy. Look at their faces here, they are very satisfied.

“I salute everyone first of all. This is a great thing that we have come to receive this new well. Where is life if you do
not have water, where is your strength? Our water slept many years, but today, thanks to God's help, water has woken up in one day only. We will not stop to give you thanks! Thanks every day!”

We're bringing relief to communities around the world who
suffer needlessly from a lack of access to clean water and proper sanitation.

Help Fund a Water Project

Donate a fresh water well to a third world country
  1. Through your support we invest in proven partners who are drilling fresh water wells, providing sanitation and hygiene training and constructing other sustainable water projects.

  2. We show every donor the specific impact of their gifts through photos, short stories and GPS map coordinates of every project.

  3. We follow up, monitor and evaluate the projects you support to help ensure our shared work has a long-term impact.

We believe that every supporter can be part of the story of water by learning, acting, giving and then seeing the difference they make.

We're looking for willing hands...are you ready?
