Clean Water for 4,000

With your help, The Road to Change Project will provide the funds needed to dig a well and provide clean safe drinking water to an entire community in eastern Kenya.

Kalimani is a densely populated community. They need a deep well.

Today, children and women walk over two hours a day to fetch contaminated water in a nearby seasonal stream.

When that dries out in early July, the walk increases to over 7km... a full day’s work, just for dirty water.

Water is the key, but not the finish line

Water borne disease, days lost from work and school, and hours spent fetching water have all led to a cycle of poverty here. But when water comes...everything changes.

Working with a local NGO, the Africa Brotherhood Church, this water project will open the door to much greater development potential. We work closely with this particular partner in Kenya because they understand that while water is the key, it's not the finish line.

It's about community

Access to clean water allows for education, relief from hunger, improved health and an escape from poverty. The ABC ensures that each of these needs is met by bringing the community together before, during and after the water project is completed. Bringing water to a village removes the biggest obstacle preventing communities like Kalimani from realizing their potential. It turns hope into progress.
