Help Fund a Water Project
For those of us living in 1st world countries, we often
take for granted the modern conveniences we have every day such as a roof over
our heads, a warm bed in which to sleep, and especially clean drinking water. In
many 3rd world countries, clean drinking water is very scarce or not available.
Can you imagine having to walk miles every day just to have clean water
for yourself and your family? Nearly one billion people
worldwide lack access to safe drinking water, and this dirty water causes
illnesses such as diarrhea and typhoid. Diarrhea alone kills 1.8 million
children each year. Unsafe water causes a cycle of sickness and poverty
and communities struggle to teach their children, grow food, go to school and
earn a living.
Because of this and many other shocking statistics
(ask us for more information!!!), we've decided to start a fundraising page to
raise money to help provide a community with clean water. The Water
Project teams up with partners in the field to dig wells or construct other
systems to provide clean, safe water to thirsty communities. When a community,
church, or school receives a new water project, women no longer spend hours
searching for a source of water. Children return to school. Water-borne
illnesses are reduced. Hope is restored.

Why It Matters
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
