The scarcity of water in developing countries is a growing problem that affects the entire world. Too many women and children travel to dangerous places in order to get water. They pay for cleaner water with their health, education, bodily structure because of the weight of the water hauled on their backs. I want to fundraise because I believe that no one should be deprived of the opportunity to receive an education because of their duties. Families will be able interact with each other again. Children will be able to go to school. Fixing one problem will create a domino effect to solve many other problems.
By helping to end water scarcity, the amount of diseases that are spread through water can also be decreased. The cure to many diseases may be in the hands of someone who cannot receive an education because they are retrieving water for approximately five hours out of the day, in scorching heat. The reward for your help is knowing that you may have just saved someone's life and that you may have created a pathway for someone to receive their high school diploma or college degree. What is a greater reward than knowing that you have just helped someone take a step into a greater chapter of their life.
I hope that you will join me in raising awareness for this issue and also help to fund this campaign. One small gesture can go a very long way.
Thank You!

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
