As a family, the Sadens Safford Manning clan has decided to fund a well (or two or three!?). We know with social networking, and a great circle of friends, we can get this done! Please help us by reaching out to your friends, relatives. colleagues and employers. A dollar, $5, $10 or say, $1,000 (teehee) will get us there! Together we can build a well (or two or three!).
Africa has long been embattled with a water crisis. Diarrheal complications takes the lives of more than 2000 African children per day (and that estimate goes as high as 5000). Every man, woman and child deserves access to the most essential and crucial of all earth's resources.
Our families have it amazingly lucky. And really that's all it is - luck. We were born into this. Water has always been ours and admittedly, it's something we take for granted. Imagine being in a position where you cannot give to your family, child or loved ones. We're not talking gifts, vacation and extravagances, but not being able to even provide clean drinking water for your loved ones. Imagine the heartbreak and rage you'd feel. Imagine the fear of something as benign (to us) as diarrhea threatening the life of your family and loved ones. If it seems unfair to you, please help us.
WE CAN ALL COME TOGETHER AND HELP!

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
