In 6th grade, we recently finished reading A Long Walk to Water. The story showed us the heartbreaking reality of walking miles every day for dirty water—and how access to clean water can completely rebuild a community\\\'s health, education, and future.

We knew we couldn't just read about this problem and walk away. GMS 6th graders have officially launched a fundraiser to build a clean water well for a community in Kenya.

By contributing to our project, you are helping us turn a classroom lesson into a life-changing resource. Together, we can lift the heavy burden of water collection and offer hope, health, and opportunity.

Thank you for supporting our mission to build a well by the new year!

Ms. Brown is a beacon of hope in this world and is someone for everyone to look up to, especially these children she educates. Keep up the good work young lady.

How this works

Dirty water impacts health, education, women, and income. Providing a reliable and safe water source allows communities to thrive.

The Water Project provides access to safe and reliable water across sub-Saharan Africa. Together, our support can end the water crisis and restore hope, one community at a time.

The coolest part? We'll all get to see our impact! Every gift is directly linked to a specific water project and community. We'll receive updates including photos and stories, maps and more!

Lives change when communities gain access to clean water. Let's experience it together. Make a donation to my fundraising campaign today!
