Having traveled around the world, and seeing some areas that are beyond substandard, I feel it is our mission as those that are of better fortune to help those of less fortune. Here in America/North America to some extent, we are fortunate to have clean water and the means to sustain the most important aspect to survival. And it is something that we faile to really think about. I look at all the disposable income that goes on in advanced civilizations, and yes I am guilty of it too!, and think why cant we help our fellow man/woman/child, instead of spending on useless things? If every man and woman in the US was to give just one measely 1 dollar, imagine the millions that would be put to a wonderful cause, saving someones life! I have made this my "Do One Thing!" This is something my employer promotes and something I feel that everyone should do! So Do One Thing and Please Help!!!

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
