Help Fund a Water Project
Dallas First Church YOUTH are joining with The Water Project as a way of fleshing out our beliefs about God's love and His call for us to express our love for Him by loving others. In fact Jesus reminds us when we care for the basic needs of others it's as if we are serving Christ himself (Matthew 25:34-45).
We recognize that the global water crisis is a huge and growing issue, but we are not content to sit back and do nothing simply because we cannnot do everything! So, we are leaning into this project BOLDLY and asking you to join us in The Water Challenge!
During this Lenten Season, a time when many people give something up in order to identify with Jesus' sacrifice, we are asking you to join us in giving up all beverages (soda, coffee, tea, juice, milk), except water and consider donating the money you would have spent on those beverages in order to help us provide a water source to a community in Africa through TheWaterProject.org.
It does not matter what 2-week period you select to join with us. Simply decide for yourself and get started! Once you are finished simply return to this page and click on the Donate Now button to donate any amount (by check, debit card, credit card, or paypal) or give your donation to a DFC teen and we will send in your contribution. If you cannot take The Water Challenge, but would like to support our effort to bring clean water to a community you can simply make a donation by clicking the Donate Now button above or below.

Why It Matters
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
