Kids all around the world don’t have clean drinking water. Every minute at least one child dies from a water-related illness (water.org). 780 million people lack access to an improved water source; approximately one in nine people (water.org). An American taking a five-minute shower uses more water than the average person in a developing country slum uses for an entire day (water.org). Over 2.5X more people lack water than live in the United States (water.org).
I feel we are so blessed to have clean water that we take for granted. If we really think about it, we take so many things in our life for granted. We have such wonderful education, we get three meals a day (or even more if you eat like me), we have a roof over our heads, we have state of the art technology, etc. And a kid that lives on the other side of the planet doesn’t even have clean water to drink. I think that we can make a difference. It’s as simple as that. If we don’t make a change, who will? Matthew 17:20 says “Amen, I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”Date | Donor | Amount | Message |

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
