We students and teachers at South Asheboro Middle School are participating in a fundraiser called the water challenge. No, it's not where we dump water on your head. What we do is simple, we give up every drink but water for 2 weeks. When we only drink water, we can save the money that we would have spent on other drinks. What we will then do is give our profits to The Water Project. The Water Project is an organization that will use our profits from the water challenge to help in places that need clean and safe water. In many of these areas, people just do not have any access to clean water. The lack of water has disasterous effects. And just $23 dollars can save one life. Americans can get free water from just about anywhere, but the people in some sub-Sahara African countries have to walk miles and they don't even know if they will find water. When they do find water it is full of bacteria which can give them diseases. Even though we are still just kids, we have found a way to change the world for the better. Please join us in contributing to The Water Project. You can help change the world, too!

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
