The Globe-Trotter
students are very excited about our water challenge project. We have
been studying water in our country as well as other countries through a variety
of articles. The students were shocked to learn the devastating effects that are
caused by poor countries drinking dirty water, especially how it effects
children. (3.4 million people die every year from disease caused by drinking
dirty water. Many children can not go to school because it is their job to walk
for miles to get water that has the potential to kill members of their family).
The kids decided they
wanted to do something to help make a difference. We are going through www.thewaterproject.org and raising money through the water challenge to build a well
in a Sub-Saharan country in Africa. In order to do this...we need your help! The challenge will last
for 14 days. You are to drink only water and take the money that you save to
give to the water project. The challenge will start on Wednesday, April 8th. We will end on Thursday, April
23rd.
Thank you in advance for
supporting our Globe-Trotters and their excitement to make a difference.

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
