Six years ago I participated in a fundraiser that changed my whole perspective on life. My church started selling t-shirts and bracelets to help donate money to an organization that builds water wells in Africa. I then noticed how much I had taken for granted in my life. I forget to turn the water off when I am busy in the kitchen or I let the water run before I get in the shower so that it is the exact temperature I want it to be. People in Africa do not have that same luxury as we do, yes I said luxury. To them it is a "luxury" to have clean, warm water to take a bath in or just clean water in general. As a senior at Haughton High School, I am required to participate in senior project. This project gives students an opportunity to step out of their comfort zone and inspire others around them by reaching out to the community. For my senior project I want to raise money to install water wells in villages in Africa. This is something that I have always wanted to do and senior project is giving me a chance to finally go out and accomplish it. So, help me give the villages in Africa a chance to have clean, healthy water! Thank you in advance for your donations and do not forget to share my page with your friends, family, etc.!

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
