Melanie's Campaign for Water

As most of you know I recently returned from my second trip to Kenya. I simply love this country. This experience further impacted me in a multitude of ways. Yes, the wildlife and landscape continue to capture my heart, but the people even more so. The images I cannot get out of my mind are those of women walking for miles to gather water (keep in mind these are often unclean and unsafe sources), washing clothes in low lying rivers, dried up water sources, and the men herding their livestock through dusty, parched lands in search of a watering hole. For my birthday (April 29th) I am fundraising for a water project in Kenya.

The last water fundraiser I had raised over $500!! Through that, a well was dug near a school. Not only was the school impacted, but the surrounding lands were as well.
