Help Fund a Water Project

Together, we can unlock potential in a developing community by providing clean, safe water.

Hi Everybody,

Water is probably one of my favourite drinks in the world. About 2 weeks ago on one fine sunny day, I woke up feeling incredibly thirsty so I decided to go downstairs to grab a glass of water to drink! As it took me less than a minute to get this beverage, it got me thinking about how some people don't really get this opportunity in their day to day life to be provided with this necessity. So I started researching more about water and the statistics behind it. I knew lots of people didn't have access to clean water around in the world but I did not know that some 1.1billion people in developing countries have inadequate access to water. (This was the website which I read it on) http://www.globalissues.org/article/26/poverty-facts-and-stats How privileged am I able to have this necessity in my life with such ease and simplicity. Anyways it would be really great if you could all help to chip in a bit to my water project. It would greatly help provide clean , safe water to hundreds of people and I think it would bring a smile upon the face of another person who could also do the same thing.. i.e.; wake up and have immediate access to water . Also if you could personal message me your house addy after to receive a thank-you card it would be much appreciated :D Love, Melinda = )

Why It Matters

Access to clean, safe water unlocks potential

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?

Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!

Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.

About The Water Project

The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.

Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.

Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
