I hope you'll consider joining me to fund a water project. I have really been wanting to give back to the world somehow and this seems the way to go. It doesn't take much money to go a long way. According to the world health organization, every dollar invested in water and sanitation provides a return between $3 to $34, which in turn can help in bringing a community out of poverty. It pains me to think 783 million people worldwide, that's about 1 in 9 people, don't have access to clean water when we let so much go to waste on a daily basis. Clean water is the most essential human right that everyone should have access to. With your gifts and your help rallying support, we can provide clean, safe and reliable water to a community in Africa.
Today, too many children suffer needlessly - walking miles for dirty water that makes them sick. Statistics show that 1 in 5 deaths of kids under the age of 5 are due to waterborne illness. You and I can change that. Feel free to explore the website more and start your own water project. This may be my first, but it definitely won't be my last. Please make a donation and help me spread the love.
Considering the proof of progress they provide on each project (technology used, GPS location, pictures..), the amount of people helped each time a well is built, the sustainability they provide ensuring the wells/sand dams don't stop working, as well as providing their financial break down of how the money donated is used I feel as if this is a great organization to donate too.
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
