Mrs. Smith's 7th Grade ELA Group - $1 = 100 meters!

Mrs. Smith's 7th grade ELA class just finished reading A Long Walk to Water and are so excited to take action for such a worthy cause! We were so deeply touched by Salva's and Nya's stories, and can't get over the fact that there are people in this world who still don't have access to clean water. We want to help!

We are wanting to do our own "long walk for water" at the school in exchange for pledge money. For every $1 that you donate, we will walk 100 meters (1/4 of a track lap) with a gallon jug of water on our heads. The more money you donate, the more we are going to be walking! Nya made the trip to water TWICE each day! She's our hero! We won't spoil the ending, but Salva is ridiculously heroic, too!
