Akron's Campaign for Water

My name is Gracie. I was introduced to this organization over the summer, and it has been eating away at me ever since. You can't unhear facts like half of the world’s hospital beds are occupied by patients suffering from water-borne diseases or that nearly 1 billion people don’t have safe water to drink. Every time I turn on my tap I think about the communities that go without, the children who die, and how those losses are felt by the world. I have decided to try to do something about it, and I hope you will too.

I feel so blessed to have grown up without having to think about where my next drink will come from or whether the water that should bring life would cause death as it has for so many.
