Help Fund a Water Project

Together, we can unlock potential in a developing community by providing clean, safe water.

Hello to all,

My name is Omar Abazeed and I am a freshman at Michigan State University. Over the years, as I have matured, I have come to my realize that I have had no greater feeling in my life like I have had when I have assisted someone who was in need of my assistance. I am a believer that we are put on this earth to do all the good that we can possibly do for others. Out of nearly a billion, 884 million people do not have access to clean and safe water. 37% of those people live in Sub-Saharan Africa. Furthermore, 1 in 8 people world wide do not have access to safe and clean drinking water. I want you all to stop reading this for a moment and think about what you just read... Now continue if you feel like you are ready to help keep those facts in the past. In search of something new to do for people, I have come across The Water Project. This is a donation based website that works with local companies in Africa to install and provide wells for the less fortunate with all our help. We have access to clean and safe water all day, and everyday. There is no reason why every human in the world should not have the same privileges as well. If you are ready to give back to the world and help prevent the 1 in 5 deaths of children under the age of 5 due to water- related disease, take the first step by donating anything you possibly can. I would really appreciate it if this message was passed down as well. Thank you for your time, Omar Abazeed.

Why It Matters

Access to clean, safe water unlocks potential

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?

Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!

Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.

About The Water Project

The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.

Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.

Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
