Hello everyone,
Our names are AnneMarie Bacon and Gracie Meloni, and we are 8th graders at Old Quarry Middle School in Lemont, IL. This is our second year hosting a variety of fundraisers for an amazing organization called The Water Project. The Water Project gives people in south-suburban Africa a clean water source that was previously unavailable to them. If you go to thewaterproject.org, you can see all of their past and current projects. They post updates, pictures, and sometimes videos. We are very passionate about our fundraising, and we will be hosting a few events, including an "Escape The School" event on January 26. The Water Project is important to us because we see it as a way to really show how we take so much in life for granted, such as clean water and sanitation. 2.3 billion people don't have access to those basic needs, and that is a number we are determined to lower.
