Alpha Gamma Sigma (http://www.glendale.edu/ags/) is hosting a water challenge fundraiser in
order to collect money for the constructions of wells that will provide clean
water in Kenya, Sierra Leone, Uganda, India, and Sudan.

Please join us in our mission to
help provide what every human being needs-clean and safe drinking water

Here is what you can do to help:

1. For two weeks, drink no beverages

other than water. (we suggest tap

or filtered water as bottled water is

too expensive and wasteful)

2. Set aside all the money which you

would normally have spent

consuming soda, juice, milk, or

bottled water, etc.

3. Use the money to help build a well

with The Water Project in villages

where there is no clean or safe

water.

The
challenge will begin on March 22 and end April 5. The money may be dropped off
at the S.O.S office (SM 266) at Glendale Community College
Donations
will still be accepted until May 28

If you would like to sign up or have any questions please e-mail
Sharis Harootun (VP of Community Service for AGS) at [email protected]

This
project allows you to move money that would have gone to CONSUMPTION over to a valuable CONTRIBUTION. As you
sacrifice the pleasure of "stuff", like beverages — for
just two weeks—you will be making a choice that saves lives.

Why It Matters

Access to clean, safe water unlocks potential

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?

Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!

Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.

About The Water Project

The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.

Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.

Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
