After learning, in-depth, about the magnitude of the worldwide water crisis, I was deeply disturbed. According to a 2013 study conducted by the UN, 783 millionĀ people lack access to clean and safe water, something many of us take for granted.
The danger of unclean water was brought to the forefront of America's attention when the crisis in Flint, Michigan was exposed. What many still don't know is that at least 36 whole countries are in severe water crisis.
These countries are often either war-torn, recovering from war, or in extreme debt which means that they cannot help their citizens alone.

I hope you'll consider joining me to fund a water project. With your gifts and your help rallying support, we can provide clean, safe and reliable water to a community in Africa.
Today, too many children suffer needlessly - walking miles for dirty water that makes them sick. You and I can change that. Please make a donation and then help me spread the word.

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
