The story below is about how I became so inspired.
I became inspired to help the people of Africa by my fourth grade teacher Mrs. Wheeler. She has traveled to Africa several times to help the children there. When I saw the faces of the children that she had met, I felt the need to help in anyway I could.
I learned that the people of Africa really need clean water. They do not have this basic thing that we take for granted. I realize they NEED water more than I WANT anything. That is why on my birthday, rather than buying gifts for me, it would mean so much to me if you would help me to help the children of Africa.

Why It Matters
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
