THE STUDENTS AT OLIVE GROVE SCHOOL, A PROJECT OF THE MUSLIM ASSOCIATION OF CANADA, HELPED RAISE $800.00 OF MY TOTAL RAISED. MY CLASS, GRADE 4B, UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF OUR GREAT TEACHER, MR. U. QURESHI, HEADED OUR FUNDRAISING INITIATIVE. OUR CLASS RAISED THE MONEY BY ASKING THE STUDENTS TO DONATE $2.00 FOR BEING ALLOWED TO NOT WEAR THEIR UNIFORM FOR A DAY, MARCH 22, 2011, WHICH WAS WORLD WATER DAY. THIS WAS A SPECTACULAR EVENT AND RAISED ALOT OF AWARENESS AMONGST OUR STUDENTS AND THEIR PARENTS. THANKS OGS FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT!

Why It Matters
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
