Learning geography in class really showed me how blessed I am and so I feel thats its really important to give and help other people so that they can live a happy life as well. I want to remind my friends and family and the people around me that it just takes a small amount of effort, like putting aside a dollar or two a day, to eventually raise enough money to build a well. Its not impossible and it does make a difference to the lives of other people. Water is something that is so simple, but it affects so many people around the world in so many different ways. Without water, many people are not able to carry on with their lives as water acts as a limitation to many people. With clean water, not only would a community be able to live more healthily, women and children would no longer need to walk miles and miles to fetch water - and this water isn't even clean or safe for drinking. Instead, young girls would be able to attend school and provide for their family in the future when they work. I mean put yourself in their shoes and imagine yourself not having clean water. Wouldn't you want someone to help you too?

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
