Did you know that almost two thirds of the worlds population experience extreme water scarcity for at least one month each year? Did you know that unsafe water sources are responsible for 1.2 million deaths a year?
The statistics don't lie, but we want to create change!
On our school, UWC ISAK Japan, we are encouraged to become independent leaders and create a project that will create positive change and build a better and more sustainable future.
Our project is WAU, Wells Around Us. We want to raise awareness about water scarcity in our local area and fundraise to build a well. We want to provide a safe source of water to people who do not have it, because we see it as a basic human right. Our project depends on the support from others, because we cannot do this alone. However we are motivated and ambitious students, and we ask you: "Will you support us?"
In our team there is: Rosalie Jacobs (Norway), Ranem Ahmed Nasser Al Shibani (Oman) and Pietro Ciappelli (Italy). We are all G11 students at UWC ISAK Japan, and we are very motivated to work on our project.
