Hello vistors!
Here's a little about myself!
I am Kaylee Fowler. I am currently a senior at NIU persuing a degree in environmental science, with an emphasis in water. I am quite passionate about water management and water quality. I am honored to have the opportunities that allow me to interact and start relationships with students from all over the world through an exchange program, Academic Year in America (AYA). Through these relationships, I am able to ask questions regarding water quality and water management throughout the world. Students have informed me of not being able to consume their household water without boiling to students having to walk miles to fetch water for their families from a well that is not monitored. Water sanitation varies from water treatment plants, like what we have here in the United States, to dumping any amount of chlorine into a well in hopes of disinfection.
The water project I am starting:
I hope you'll consider joining me to fund a water project. With your gifts and your help rallying support, we can provide clean, safe and reliable water to a community in Africa. Let's come together and give to those who are in need.
Today, too many children suffer needlessly - walking miles for dirty water that makes them sick. You and I can help change that. Please consider making a donation and helping me spread the word. Thank you so much for your time and consideration!

Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
