Welcome to Steve and Mary's campaign to raise money for water in Africa... again! This year is of special importance because it is in honor of Steve's grandfather, Paul Dempsey. He passed away September 24, in Westborough, Massachusetts. Many family members and friends depended on his wisdom, humor, and joy as a source of happiness. Along with being a wonderful person, Paul was a giver. Throughout his life, he consistently donated to several charities in the developing world. Although he is no longer able to donate, we are honored to adopt his giving spirit and encourage others to do the same.
Steve and Mary chose The Water Project because of the profound importance and effects clean water can have on large populations. Currently, 1.1 billion people have no access to an improved drinking source of water. With clean water, communities can increase education opportunities, improve health, develop food security, and help reduce poverty. Just $34 can provide enough water for one person, for life.
We are giving in honor of Paul, but there are plenty of reasons to donate. Paul had immeasurable impacts on his loved ones; now it's our turn to share that impact with others.

|This is a wonderful thing you are doing. It would make Paul proud.
Did you know nearly 1 billion people don't have safe water to drink?
Together, we can change that. Let's fund a new source of drinking water for those who suffer needlessly without it!
Our gifts will be used to construct or rehabilitate a water project, like a well or sand dam, in Africa. We'll see pictures, GPS coordinates, and updates as they come in from the actual water project we fund so we can celebrate the results along with the community we help.
The Water Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing clean, safe water to communities around the world who suffer needlessly without.
Working with local partners in countries like Kenya, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Uganda, we build long lasting water projects that are organized, owned and managed by the communities receiving them.
Together, with our partners we identify, implement, report on and follow up on every project. Then we share the whole story with you to inspire confidence in the work being done and the impact it has.
