I hope you consider joining me to fund a water project. With your gifts and your help rallying support, we can provide clean, safe and reliable water to Luwero District in rural Uganda.
Today, too many children suffer needlessly - walking miles for dirty water that makes them sick. You and I can change that. Please make a donation and then help me spread the word.
Scouts Helping Scout’s
Water Walk Pledge Benefiting Rotary International Global Grant 579402
for Ssaku Senior Secondary School Scouts, Uganda
Watsonville’s 505 Scouts are here to help support their counterpart Scouts of Ssaku Senior Secondary School by raising the remaining $19,000 for the Wobulenzi and Freedom Rotary’s global grant
Why We Walk the Walk: Students at Ssaku School in Uganda's Luwero District live without running water, electricity, or sewer systems. Each day they carry heavy jugs of water just to survive.
Their Daily Burden Becomes Our One Mile Mission
Our scouts and volunteers will learn what it is like by experiencing the long walk by carrying gallon water jugs for a mile — the same burden their Ugandan counterparts carry every day — to raise awareness and to help fund a solar-powered borehole to provide clean water to 1,500 people and to water the crops they will learn to grow to support their families.
A true transformation in vocational training and daily life
We are grateful for your tax-deductible donation where 100% will go towards this life-changing grant.
